Panamax Named Top Brand in Power Category of CE Pro 100 Favorite Products List
PETALUMA, Calif. — June 30, 2008 — Panamax, a world-leading provider of AC power management solutions, today announced that it was named the most-used brand in the power category by CE Pro`s Top 100 Integrators. Vaulting to the top from last year`s number two position, Panamax`s power management solutions have helped integrators bolster revenues in a down market, while increasing component longevity and enhancing audio and video quality for end users.
Now in its 10th year, the CE Pro 100 is an annual list of the top 100 integration companies in the U.S. by revenue. Installers on the prestigious list are asked to reveal their most frequently used manufacturers in 37 categories, ranging from in-wall speakers and A/V receivers to control products and computers. All but five CE Pro 100 installers offer power conditioning and protection, and this year Panamax was their number one brand.

In a down market, many installers, including those that make up the CE Pro 100, are focusing on a variety of attachment sales to increase revenue, including extended service agreements, upgraded cables, smaller automation systems, lighting control, key fobs for remote control, and power management. "With the fall of the housing market, we have seen a dramatic decrease in the number of new homes being built, and thus a decrease in installations," said Marty Hayse, director of purchasing for Dennis Sage Home Entertainment, a Phoenix-based custom A/V integrator.
