M12i became a further development of the legendary Epos M12. In modern modification an updated tweeter is used with an inch aluminum dome, high-temperature sound coil and powerful ferrite magnetic system. Mid-bass is the branded 165-mm driver with polymer diffuser, in the center of which there is a phase-equalizing "bullet". Cast chassis and 32-mm sound coil that provides confident work even at extreme levels should be referred to the features. First ordered crossover consists of a single capacitor. To connect it to an amplifier there are massive spring terminals, allowing bi-wiring and bi-amping.

Epos M12i differs by decent dynamics with energetically rich mid-bass and quite smooth for shelf speaker systems decay at low frequencies. Due to this the sound does not seem to be lightweight or lifeless at all. Sharp attack and excellent by resolution wook of the tweeter should be especially noted. But against this background sibilants and also individual sharp notes arise sometimes in voices in the area of the upper middle. As for the rest the monitors transfer tonal composition extremely carefully. Sound stage opens with a characteristic scale and quite accurate positioning of imaginary sources in space. Separation of the instruments and plans in sound stage is extremely high.
